Our results

Our results have been processed from the beginning of Sanatorium Helios SK activity to April 2006.

Explanatory notes on each term as well as their meanings are next to each graph.

Years 2005/2006

OPU - the number of oocytes retrieved during a programm of assisted reproduction.

ET - the number of embryotransfers in individual months. Both of these parameters have increasing tendency and we are still increasing gradually the number of procedures performed.

KK- cycles, during which the eggs are spontaneously fertilized by sperms without the need to inject a sperm into an egg.

Fertility rate - a parameter which determines how many eggs were fertilised during ICSI method or convetional method. An average of 70-80 % of retrieved eggs are fertilized.

The exact number of embryos during the embryotransfer - most often we transfer 2 embryos into the uterus (yellow colour), less often 1 embryo (red colour) and in exceptional cases 3 embryos (blue colour).

Pregnancy rate - one of the most important parameters of evaluating of the centre. It determines the number of pregnant women after the IVF treatment during conventional cycle and ICSI. The percentage of successful pregnancies after the IVF method is considerably higher.

This graph is produced from a summary of the previous graphs test results and determines the number of pregnant women after the therapy (embryotransfer) for each months. The average succes rate from the beginning of the activities of Sanatorium Helios is 43 %. The success rate for the year 2006 is 44 %.

The number of pregnant women in individual months is indicated in red and the number of twins (gemini) is indicated in blue. The twins presented 41 % in 2005 and in 2006 43 % of all pregnancies. However, it is important to emphasise that twins increase the risk of successfuly completed pregnancy than in the case of only one child even though the couples often wish to have twins.
