How we treat infertility

Treatment of infertility is totally dependent on the already founded reason and therefore the patient should be registered in any infertility treatment centre. People shouldn`t wait to long before starting therapies in infertility. We recommend an examination in a special sterility treatment clinic after already a year of unsuccessful trials. Infertility is not a flu and it can not be cured in a weeks time. Mankind has been programmed in a such way that an egg is released only 10-12 times a year. So, the infertility treatment lasts for months. However, we are here to give you all the help you need in achieving your longed-for pregnancy. Planned sexual intercourse and insemination are the most simplest methods of infertility therapy.

Sexual intercourse planning
It is a procedure in which we observe maturation of eggs in a natural or stimulated cycle using hormones and / or ultrasound. In case of fully matured eggs we apply HCG drug (Pregnyl, Choragon) to initiate bursting of a follicle and releasing of an egg. Stimulation of the ovulation (maturation of eggs) is controlled by drugs such as clostilbegyt, follicle stimulating hormone in form of pills or injections.

Intrauterinal insemination (IUI)
During insemination the sperm is placed directly into the uterus the most suitable time being when the eggs are fully matured. It increases the chance of getting pregnant. We only use sperms of the highest quality which are specially treated for the process of insemination. The insemination and stimulation of ovulation are carried out during the cycles. During this procedure, a woman lies in a gynecological position. A thin catheter is put into the uterus and sperms are ejected through the vagina and the cervix. It is not a painful procsses and no anaesthesia is required. The IUI method is generally less successful than the IVF method. However, it is also less demanding. It is especially suitable in cases of problems in the cervix and low or medium quality of sperms. Men with extremely low quality of sperms can also apply for sperms from a donor. The method is best used for pairs with uncertain causes of sterility or pairs with religious and moral prejudice against in vitro fertilization.

Intrauterinal insemination – heterologic
The possibility to use sperms from a sperm bank is very convenient for infertile men whose sperms can not be used for fertlization. The identity of a sperm donor stays anonymous to the recipients. The sperm donors are young and absolutely healthy men who are not older than 35. Before putting donors into the sperm bank they undergo thorough examination in addition to tests for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis and genetic tests.

The method mentioned above is used for couples who do not agree with any assisted reproduction techniques. The other methods of infertility treatment described in the following section also belong into the group of assisted reproduction techniques.
